Two landlords who were promised a large refurbishment when they took over the oldest boozer in town before Christmas will soon be left jobless and with nowhere to live after 'falling victim' to what has been dubbed The Pubco scandal.
Shortly before Christmas Clare Nichol and Nikki Barrett signed a contract to take over the running of the Cornish Choughs pub at Treswithian on the outskirts of Camborne.

Police officer who hit 12-year-old Leeta Rossi 'drove below force...
A police officer who was behind the wheel when his squad car knocked over a 12-year-old girl on her way to school would have been able to see her for at least 75 metres, an investigation has found.
Leeta Rossi was
hit by the marked police car as she crossed the road on Wednesday, January 6, last year in Trevenson Street in Camborne.

Four lanes of A30 at Bodmin to be opened in one week with its own...
There is only one week to go before drivers can discover and enjoy the full four lanes of the new section of the A30 between Temple and Higher Carblake. The £56 million dual carriageway near Bodmin gets set to open to - hopefully - free-flowing traffic from next Friday, just before the start of the summer holiday.

Cornish Republican Army claims responsibility for fires and...
A group claiming to be 'armed' and calling itself the Cornish Republican Army has claimed responsibility for two fires and damage to a Rick Stein restaurant and even says it has a member prepared "pay the ultimate price in the battle of Kernow".
In an official statement posted in an online blog on June 11, the Cornish Republican Army (CRA) says that it has changed its name from the Cornish National Liberation Army as a result of copycats stealing its name.

A fire on the A30 near Fraddon was sparked by a discarded cigarette butt, an eyewitness has claimed.
Motorists were warned of smoke blowing across the dual carriageway at around 1pm today (July 7) after more than 50 people reported the blaze.

Driver cut from car and treated by paramedics after Kernow bus...
Two people had to be cut from their car after a crash involving a bus on Friday (July 7) morning. The collision took place on A390 and resulted in the partial blockage of the B3275 at Tresiliian.
Witnesses reported the Kernow bus hitting a Volkswagen car shortly after 9.30am between Truro and St Austell.
