South Quay Supermarket Application
The Town Council has just received notification that the Secretary of State, after careful consideration, will not be calling in the application for his determination and has decided that the application should be determined at local level. He considers that proposals to build a supermarket on South Quay do not give rise to sufficient conflict with national policies, the value of the World Heritage Site or the vitality or viability of Hayle Town centre.

Angarrack Celebration of Queen's Diamond Jubilee
A meeting was held on the 30th January 2012 with representatives of the Angarrack Community Centre, Angarrack Residents Association, Angarrack Christmas Lights, and residents of the village of Angarrack being invited to attend, to form a committee to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
The aim is to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen, during 2012 in the village of Angarrack.
Hayle Town Council
Until 1934 Hayle was governed by two authorities, Hayle Urban District Council and Phillack Urban District Council.
From 1934 to 1974 it was a parish council within West Penwith Rural District Council.
Currently the Town Council has the status of a Parish Council within Penwith District. read more »

Many thanks to all the Elves who turned out at short notice in foul weather to help when the rain brought down the scaffolding supporting the arch at the top of Steamers' Hill today.
A fabulous effort by everyone saw the road cleared and the arch recovered fortunately the arch doesn't appear damaged
After the problems with the scaffolding it's been decided to situate it at the side of the road (opposite Carwinard Close) and move the two cherubs light to the top of the hill. read more »

Fat and Full that’s me, even after escorting many visiting friends at least a dozen times up and down both of the Steamers and Hatches hills in order to show off the Angarrack Lights display. It was yet again another fantastic series of sights enjoyed and shared by the visiting hundreds or should I say thousands that came by car, mini bus and coach, many of whom were simply blown away with the new latest addition ‘12 Drummers drumming’. read more »
