Christmas Lights Switch On - 2009

The grand switch on of the Angarrack Christmas Lights will take place
on Saturday 5th December 2009
at the Angarrack Inn from 7:00pm for 7:30pm
Santa is also expected to attend after the lights switch on.
Music from the E String Band
There may be fireworks on switch on night.

Treasure Hunt and BBQ Starting at the Angarrack Inn
4pm Saturday 15th August!
Following the success of last year’s event there will be another Treasure Hunt this year on Saturday 15th August. The starting point will be the car park of the Angarrack Inn and things will get underway at 4pm. There will be clues for young and old and of course prizes for the winners!
Following the treasure hunt there will be a BBQ starting from around 6pm! All are welcome…

The recycling centre at Splattenridden can, in a matter of a few weeks, turn this waste into compost which is then sold on a wholesale basis.
Plant material which is from invasive species cannot be collected: Japanese Knotweed for example must be destroyed on the site where it is cut down.
The waste should be put in unwanted brown cardboard boxes or, failing that, in plastic sacks. read more »

On Wednesday April 22 the Friends of St Julia's Hospice, Hayle, are holding a Beetle Drive at the Angarrack Community Centre at 7:30pm.
There will be a pasty supper as well as the Beetle Drive, and the cost is £2 per person. There will be stalls, St Julia's hospice goodies for sale, raffles and of course refreshments; why not come along and give your support to this local cause?

Four Weekly Green Waste Collection

This is the day to put out garden waste and brown corrugated cardboard for recycling.
The recycling centre at Splattenridden can, in a matter of a few weeks, turn this waste into compost which is then sold on a wholesale basis.
Plant material which is from invasive species cannot be collected: Japanese Knotweed for example must be destroyed on the site where it is cut down.
The waste should be put in unwanted brown cardboard boxes or, failing that, in plastic sacks.

Public Meeting | Phase 1 Hayle Harbour

There will be a public meeting on ING's detailed planning application for Phase 1 at Hayle Harbour, on Tuesday March 17 at 7:15pm, at Hayle Community School.
The evening will feature a presentation from ING and their representatives about proposals for North Quay, including repairs to the North and East Quay harbour walls; the new bridge, access road and promenade, and the proposed infrastructure for employment space and fishermen's facilities.
The session will finish with a question and answer session, and an update on the outline planning application. read more »

The mobile library stops at Angarrack Post Box fortnightly on Mondays (except Bank Holidays).
It's free to join the Mobile Library, and there is no fine if you are overdue with your books.
There is a lift for disabled persons. Well worth a visit.
