A rare glowing crystal jellyfish that can eat other creatures larger than its own size has been spotted on Crinnis Beach in St Austell.The see-through jellyfish is said to be common in the northern Pacific Ocean but rare in UK waters.It can feed on bigger fish but the mysterious creature mostly eats tiny marine animals called copepods. A "serious incident" off the Cornish coast has left three people in hospital last night. A group of five people were caught in a rip tide at Crantock beach, near Newquay, just before 7.30pm. As local surfers rushed to help, the emergency services were called by an onlooker.
