HAYLE POLICE are working on an innovative new way to improve their response time to call-outs in the Towans, in a bid to keep the beauty spot cleaner and safer.

PC John Fulker, from the Hayle Neighbourhood Policing Team, came up with the idea to use GPS co-ordinates to map the Towans on police computer systems after attending an incident with PCSO Fiona Gamble.

They were called out by a concerned member of the public and found around 40 young people camping on the dunes. The party-goers had a generator, sound system, tents and a large amount of rubbish was found at the site.
