Every part of Cornwall now has at least three cases of coronavirus, the latest cluster map shows.

In Wednesday's midweek update just St Just & Land's End, and Looe & Polperro, were not registering on the Government map but now both of these areas are filled in.

The map only shows clusters when there are at least three confirmed results. Anywhere with between zero and two cases shows white in order to "protect the privacy of individuals and prevent disclosure."

It follows a further rise in positive test results, which have doubled in the past week.

In the highest total recorded to date, there were 2,110 confirmed cases in the seven days leading up to January 4 - the most recent figures. Data from the last five days is left off due to being incomplete and not reflecting the true number of cases.

It is more than double the 1,008 cases recorded in the week leading up to December 28, recorded on last Saturday's map.

Areas with some of the highest figures are Hayle with 66 cases (up by 37 cases) and Truro, which has a combined 148 cases in its three cluster areas: Truro West with 41, Truro South & Central with 51 and Truro East with 56.

Newquay also still remains high, with a combined 145 cases in the town (Newquay West - 72, Newquay East - 73), while in the surrounding area St Columb Minor & Porth has 68 cases and St Columb Major & St Mawgan 38 cases.

Falmouth now has a total of 111 cases across its three cluster areas: Falmouth West & South with 49, Falmouth East with 31 and Falmouth North with 31. This represents a combined rise of 78 cases week-on-week.

The figures led to Cornwall's health chiefs urging people in the town to "follow the rules" yesterday.

All but four areas (St Just & Lands End, Looe & Polperro, Kingsand, Antony & Maryfield, and Gunnislake & Calstock) are recording double figures.

Cornwall now has a rolling rate of 369.0 cases per 100,000 people.

The map shows positive cases by 'Middle Super Output Area' - the name the government gives to the break-up of larger towns and groups of neighbouring towns and villages, with groupings covering a greater area than others.

The minimum population in each area is 5,000 and the average is 7,200.
